| The Faux Group was part of a team to redesign and expand this 25 year old community library on a key intersection in downtown Madeira, OH. The library board had purchased an adjacent old homestead with mature plantings. The design team's assignment was to double the building size, add parking and create ramped entrance walks to make the hilltop library ADA accessible. Other design challenges included preservation and incorporation of several massive oak trees into the design, creation of an outdoor reading room under the trees and expansion of the perennial gardens cared for by the library volunteers. |
