| The Faux Group provides planning & design services for Faison in many of their projects throughout the local region. We are currently assisting them with the opportunity to convert an existing community airport into a self-contained residential community. This partially recovered land is located in one of the fastest growing areas of the region near Andrews Air Force Base. The planning was constrained by environmental features and existing infrastructure thus allowing for only 300 acres of development. The plan offered a variety of housing types in a compact development pattern with 230,000 square feet of commercial space, a school site and associated ‘useable’ open space. Roughly 2,000 residential units are planned to be phased in as market conditions allow. The unit types included single family, townhomes, and stacked ‘flats’ or apartments. |
